P95/Julius Clinical is a global provider of clinical and epidemiological services related to infectious diseases and diseases of the Central Nervous System. It's an exciting time here as we expand our global footprint and take on new challenges. We want to add a highly experienced Epidemiologist, who can lead high-impact research, and be the primary SME in the US to support and provide epidemiological expertise on diverse and multi-disciplinary projects from a CRO perspective. You will work in most areas of epidemiology, including literature reviews, study design and implementation, conference presentations and publication writing. You could be asked to assist in the development of more junior staff. 
  • Scientifically leads epidemiological projects with regard to:
    • the design and development of study protocols as well as the planning and implementation of epidemiological studies
    • the choice and planning of statistical methods to analyse study data
    • the identification of epidemiological studies’ risks and mitigation strategies
    • the interpretation of study results and study reports
    • the conduct of literature reviews, including systematic literature reviews
    • manuscript preparation and submission
    • the preparation of conference presentations.
  • Supervises and coaches more junior epidemiologists.
  • Presents study results to clients and in conferences. 
  • Is the point of contact for clients with regard to technical and scientific matters.
  • Contributes to complex projects, serving as a technical resource. May lead smaller, technically focused initiatives. 
  • Plays a key role in developing and implementing technical strategies, influencing technical direction. 
  • Drives significant R&D initiatives, often securing grants/funding. Contributes significantly to the advancement of knowledge/technology. 
  • Contributes to business development activities for new studies
  • Working remotely with some travel (travel ~10%)
  • MD and/or PhD in Epidemiology (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 10 years of relevant working experience in epidemiology with experience in disease of the Central Nervous System (neurology/psychiatry). Disease areas include: Parkinson’s Disease, dementias, epilepsy, ALS, depression, and other CNS diseases.
  • Specific training/experience in pharmacoepidemiology is an asset.
  • Experience in large epidemiological studies including interventional trials is an asset. 
  • Experience in HEOR and Real World Evidence studies using electronic health records databases is an asset.
  • Prior experience in a CRO or sponsor company strongly preferred
  • Exceptional communication - written and spoken professional English
  • Advanced business acumen with leadership experience
  • You are a self-starter, well organised and with attention to detail while keeping a “getting the job done” mentality
  • You are focused on delivering high-quality results on time
  • Possesses technical mastery of one or more epidemiological methods/disease/pathogen
