As a full time, Director of Pharmacy at River Valley Behavioral you will oversee all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs with assistance from a full support team.  

 

About the facility: We offer a full range of mental health services and supports, in addition to substance use treatment, and specialized care for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We prioritize your needs, offering a full continuum of evidence-based services tailored to you and delivered by a caring and dedicated team of professionals.

 

Schedule: Mon-Friday 8-4:30 with on call evenings and weekends.

 

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the maintenance and dissemination of drug information through in-service education of hospital personnel, consultation with patients, hospital staff, and medical staff.
  • Actively assists staff pharmacists in the discharge of routing duties as necessary.
  • Directs the activities of and provides professional and technical guidance to pharmacy personnel.

Required Qualifications:

  • BS or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy
  • Licensed pharmacist in the State of KY in good standing
  • 1+ years of recent pharmacy experience in a hospital setting
  • Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of Pharmacy management 
  • 3+ years of hospital experience

 

*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy.

 

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $112,700 to $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
