About your team

As a key member of the global Regulatory Affairs team, reporting to the Regulatory Team Lead - Global Registrations, you will operate at the intersection of global strategy and local market execution.

You will collaborate closely with international colleagues across Regulatory, Development, Marketing and Commercial functions, while acting as the primary regulatory interface for the UK & Ireland organisation. In this role, you are a trusted advisor to the UK & Ireland Management Team, ensuring regulatory priorities are fully embedded into business strategy and decision-making.

Within this role, you will own the country-level regulatory strategy with significant business impact, positioning yourself as a key contributor to the success of the UK & Ireland business.

The team is widely recognised in the market as a high-performing and expert regulatory partner, known for its quality, engagement and forward-thinking approach. You will also represent the organisation externally, engaging with industry bodies such as CropLife UK, as well as relevant Irish and UK associations, and building strong relationships with authorities, technical institutes and key stakeholders within the UK & Ireland regulatory landscape.

About your job

In this senior role, you will lead complex regulatory activities with a high degree of autonomy, owning strategic dossiers and driving regulatory outcomes that directly impact business success in the UK & Ireland. You will own country-level regulatory strategy with significant business impact, acting as a key link between regulatory developments and commercial performance.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Defining and executing the regulatory strategy for the UK & Ireland, including ownership of high-impact and strategic registration dossiers
  • Acting as the primary regulatory advisor to the UK & Ireland Management Team, translating regulatory developments into clear business implications and strategic recommendations
  • Leading and managing complex regulatory projects end-to-end, including timelines, budgets
  • Applying expert judgement to interpret complex regulations, and industry trends, positioning yourself as a technical lead within your field
  • Building and maintaining deep expertise in UK (CRD/HSE) and Ireland (PCS) regulatory frameworks, while understanding alignment and divergence from EU regulations
  • Monitoring political, regulatory and societal developments, including post-Brexit changes, and using these insights to shape forward-looking product and regulatory strategies
  • Representing the organisation externally through bodies such as CropLife UK and relevant associations, actively contributing to industry dialogue and influencing regulatory developments
  • Overseeing the preparation, and submission of high-quality regulatory dossiers supporting product registrations and lifecycle management
  • Providing expert guidance, coaching and direction to cross-functional teams, strengthening capability and ensuring delivery excellence
  • Collaborating across functions to ensure regulatory requirements are seamlessly integrated into product development and commercial initiatives
  • Driving continuous improvement and innovation in regulatory processes, tools and ways of working

You will operate with a high level of independence, with leadership guidance focused on outcomes, enabling you to shape both regulatory strategy and business impact.

About you

You are an experienced regulatory professional who combines deep technical expertise with strategic thinking and the ability to influence at senior level. You are comfortable operating with autonomy and ownership and are motivated by roles where you can shape direction, not just execute. You take pride in building credibility as a trusted expert, both internally and externally.

This is what you bring

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in agriculture, biology, chemistry or a related scientific discipline
  • Significant experience in Regulatory Affairs, Product Registration within the plant protection or agrobusiness sector
  • Strong and current knowledge of UK and Irish regulatory frameworks, with an understanding of EU regulations
  • Proven experience managing complex dossiers and regulatory projects, including planning, prioritisation responsibility
  • Experience in owning or significantly contributing to country-level regulatory strategy and business-critical decision-making
  • The ability to analyse and interpret regulatory requirements, regulations and trends, translating these into clear and actionable business recommendations
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with confidence working with senior leaders and external partners, including regulatory authorities
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • A proactive, ownership-driven mindset, with a strong focus on continuous improvement, innovation and impact
