Role Overview

MojoTech is seeking a Software Engineering Consultant with strong experience across Go, React Native, and AWS to join our growing engineering team in Argentina.

As a consultant at MojoTech, you will work across a variety of client engagements, partnering with product managers, designers, engineers, and business stakeholders to solve complex challenges and deliver impactful software solutions. Unlike traditional product companies, our engineers have the opportunity to work across multiple industries, technologies, and teams, gaining exposure to a diverse range of technical and business problems. Demonstrated experience with AI-native software engineering practices is required for this role.

Success in this role requires strong technical skills, excellent English communication, and the ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams and U.S.-based clients. You should be comfortable participating in technical discussions, contributing ideas, and helping clients make informed technology decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain modern applications spanning backend services (Go), mobile applications (React Native), and cloud infrastructure (AWS)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and fellow engineers
• Participate in technical discovery, architecture discussions, and solution design
• Develop scalable APIs and backend services, including integrations with third-party platforms and services
• Design and maintain relational database schemas in PostgreSQL, including query optimization and migrations
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
• Contribute to code reviews and engineering best practices
• Help identify and resolve technical risks and challenges
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders
• Continuously learn and contribute to the growth of the engineering team

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Experience with Go (Golang) and/or React Native in production environments, including building and shipping mobile applications, is highly desired. 
• Strong understanding of AWS services (Lambda, ECS, RDS, S3, IAM, etc.)
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and migrations
• Working experience with TypeScript in production environments
• Familiarity with secure API design, authentication (OAuth2, JWT), and data protection best practices
• Strong understanding of object-oriented and/or systems-level programming principles and software design patterns
• AI-accelerated code reviews and debugging
• AI-assisted software design and implementation
• Agentic development workflows (parallelized coding, autonomous task execution, orchestration)
• Prompt engineering for software development and system generation
• Using AI to generate documentation, architecture artifacts, and delivery assets
• Building systems where humans remain accountable for quality and decisions
• Rapid prototyping with structured production hardening
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Professional working proficiency in English (written and verbal)
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed environment
• Must be located in Buenos Aires, Argentina

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with additional languages or frameworks such as Python, JavaScript, or React
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and observability/monitoring tools
• Experience working in consulting, agency, or client-service environments
• Exposure to mentoring junior engineers
• Familiarity with accessibility standards, including WCAG guidelines
• Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments
• Experience with AI-enabled applications, machine learning integrations, LLMs, or RAG architectures
• Contributions to open-source projects, technical blogs, or conference presentations

Employment Structure

We hire employees in Argentina through Deel, our Employer of Record (EOR) partner. Deel serves as your legal employer for payroll, benefits administration, and local compliance purposes, while your day-to-day work, manager, performance reviews, career development, and team experience will be with MojoTech.

This is a full-time employee position, not a contractor role.
