Backup & Recovery Engineer

About the Role 

We are looking for someone who will focus on the design, operation, monitoring, and maintenance of enterprise backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes across hybrid infrastructure, ensuring data integrity, availability, and resilience for business‑critical systems for one of our clients based in Saudi Arabia. 

Key Responsibilities

• Design, operate, monitor, and maintain enterprise backup and restore systems
  

• Implement and manage disaster recovery processes across hybrid infrastructure
  

• Ensure data integrity, availability, and compliance with RPO/RTO objectives
  

• Conduct recovery testing and validate disaster recovery readiness
  

• Troubleshoot backup and recovery issues to support business‑critical systems
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred; diploma or equivalent.
  

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in enterprise or production infrastructure
  

• Strong expertise with enterprise backup platforms such as Veeam, Commvault, or NetBackup
  

• Proficiency in VMware, Windows Server, and Linux administration
  

• Hands‑on experience with backup and restore processes, disaster recovery, RPO/RTO, recovery testing, VM/server backups, and cloud workload recovery
  

• Skilled in scripting with PowerShell or Bash for automation
  

• Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and business continuity practices
  

• Background in hybrid cloud environments, production troubleshooting, and incident management
  

• Proven ability to support high‑availability, business‑critical systems
  

• Strong English communication skills for effective collaboration
