Accounting Manager

As a growing and fast-paced organization, Demo Co. is looking for a motivated and experienced Accounting Manager to lead our accounting department. This newly created position will be an integral part of our company operations, managing the overall accounting function, and leading a team of professionals.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field; CPA or related certification is highly preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting, including 3+ years of managerial experience
• Ability to comprehend and analyse financial statements
• Substantial experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Familiarity with financial accounting statements
• Experience with accounting software and MS Excel
• In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
