System Maintenance:
Troubleshoot and address issues that affect system performance or system accessibility. This responsibility also involves regular system improvements, such as upgrades based on business requirements.
Documentation:
Maintain records of IT assets usage in accordance with the DMD Operational Procedures. Administrator will be required to document the following:
System / OS changes
Software Installation
Software and OS patching
End-user requests
Business requirements
IT issues
Install/upgrade hardware components
System Health Monitoring:
Monitor system health and identify anomalous network behavior, which may include security-sensitive activities such as unauthorized network access and data transfer.
Backup & Disaster Recovery:
Work with the enterprise IT staff to ensure that all necessary backup software is installed and operating correctly. Work with end-users to restore data that may have been deleted or archived.
Install maintain client application(s)
Restore user program files and data
Operating System Installation & Patching
The System Administrator will be responsible for working with IT to standup new servers. This will require them to do the initial iLo prep work, and preparing the necessary IT paperwork. In addition, they will be responsible for operating system patching. This will require them server as a liaison between IT and the user/developer.
