ABOUT THIS ROLE
We’re seeking a world-class leader to join our team as Vice President of Strategic Sales. In this second-line leadership role, you’ll lead our highest account segment — managing a team of Strategic Area Vice Presidents and Strategic Account Managers focused on a small set of named, top-tier customers. You’ll drive deep, transformational partnerships with our most important accounts across verticals like Commercial Real Estate, Retail, Industrials, and Emerging markets. Success in this role means outsized revenue growth, flawless customer engagement, and setting the standard for how we engage our largest clients. You’ll report directly to our Chief Revenue Officer.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and develop a high-impact Strategic Sales team focused on expanding our largest and most complex customer relationships
- Drive overall strategy, planning, and execution for key named accounts to maximize long-term revenue and retention
- Develop tailored, account-specific growth plans aligned with customer strategic priorities
- Partner closely with executive leadership, influencing customer engagement at the C-suite level
- Maintain high standards of operational rigor — including accurate forecasting, pipeline health, and deal velocity
- Build a strong bench of future leaders through coaching, development, and succession planning
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to align solutions to client needs
- Lead customer executive briefings, strategic business reviews, and major contract negotiations
- Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability within the Strategic Sales team
- Ensure consistent governance, compliance, and reporting standards across all strategic account activity
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
- 12+ years of experience leading Strategic or Enterprise Sales teams with large deal, named-account focus
- Track record of managing complex, high-value deals and client relationships at the CxO level
- Deep experience building account expansion strategies and multi-threaded executive relationships
- Skilled at managing long sales cycles, navigating sophisticated buying groups, and driving large deal closures
- Inspiring leader who attracts, retains, and develops high-performing talent
- Highly strategic, operationally excellent, and financially savvy
- Outstanding executive communication, negotiation, and influence skills
- Experience in technology, SaaS, IoT, security, or adjacent high-growth industries preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; MBA or advanced degree a plus
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently to drive client engagement and deal progression
