We set them.Job SummaryAllstate Benefits is creating a new sales strategy and team supporting Captive arrangements in the voluntary benefits marketplace which is an emerging trend targeting large case clients and especially new fortune 500 employers. The Vice President, Sales Captive Management is a Senior Manager level role and is responsible for leading new business development and operational efforts to capture market share and generate profitable growth for the Allstate Benefits Supplemental Health Insurance captive. The CVice President, Sales Captive Management must comprehend the overall captive strategy and effectively develop and implement a strategic business plan in collaboration with the third-party captive management partner to meet its objectives. This position reports directly to the Allstate Benefits Executive Vice President of Sales Distribution.Key ResponsibilitiesLiaison between Allstate Benefits and the third-party captive management partner, helping to facilitate implementation and ongoing management of the programFrequent collaboration with third-party captive management partner and other service providers including actuaries, auditors, and attorneysAssists with go-to-market strategy, identifying and realizing new business opportunitiesAchieves annual sales goal case count and/or premium objectivesWorks to develop captive expertise, understanding the nuances and regulations involved with captive programsFocuses on strengthening the Allstate Benefits value proposition with the national broker and consultant distribution channelCollaborates with partners to implement programs that defend Allstate Benefits leadership position and grow market segment in the Supplemental Health Insurance industryDemonstrates a comprehensive understanding of company processes and products to portray confidence and credibility to prospects and customersServes as the fronting carrier subject matter expert with deep knowledge of hospital indemnity, critical illness, and accident plansSupports third-party captive management partner, as needed, with architecting proposed plan designs for prospective clientsCompletes bidding package for customer quotesInputs data into the Supplemental Health Optimizer tool and assesses plan value to support the overarching client benefit analysisManages delivery and execution of Supplemental Health Agreements in cooperation with third-party captive management partnerSupports quarterly status and annual stewardship meetings to include presentation and reporting preparationPeriodically reviews operations with captive partner to ensure program is being utilized to its fullest potentialBuilds and maintains a collaborative working relationship across Allstate Benefits functional areas and proactively shares information to ensure a common vision and partnership in support of profitable growthControls and manages expenses to Company standardsCompensation DataCompensation for this position is 70% fixed and 30% variable. Fixed compensation range for this position is $175,000 to $200,000, based on qualifications and experience.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience4-year college degree preferred10 years of experience in the Supplemental Health Insurance industryProven track record for obtaining business results through the development of effective external relationships within the national broker and consultation distribution channel for the large/mega account segmentCaptive management experience idealThe candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.Good Work.
