Job Description

The Corporates Partnerships & Alliances team at Thomson Reuters is responsible for end-to-end lifecycle management of strategic partnerships relating to corporate customer products & services. From strategy development, through assessment, recruitment, negotiation, onboarding, launch and ongoing management; the Corporates Partnerships and Alliances team oversees numerous partnerships working collaboratively in a variety of commercial models.

The Director of Partner Resell/Managed Services is responsible for leading a team of Partner Managers and Associates focused on resell and managed service partnerships. Thomson Reuters is a reseller of several strategic products & services developed and delivered by 3rd party partners. To be successful in this role you will engage with partners, peers, and stakeholders; working collaboratively to maximize sales contribution of Partner Products and Services.

About the Role

In this opportunity you will:

  • Be responsible for meeting and exceeding defined sales targets in relation to partner products and services
  • Proactively manage and report on sales opportunity pipeline
  • Define Objectives and Key Results for both individual partners and group production, overseeing execution against those metrics
  • Provide routine forecast updates to executive leadership team and support monthly/quarterly business reviews on ongoing basis
  • Develop strategies for optimizing the day-to-day management of resell and managed service partners with varying levels of contribution
  • Collaborate with Corporate Marketing and Partner Enablement to execute partner demand generation initiatives
  • Collaborate with Training and Partner Enablement to establish baseline knowledge materials to support marketing, sales, implementation and/or support efforts
  • Work with Sales leaders, managers and contributors to educate and enable the resell of partner products and services
  • Address challenges and issues arising from partner engagement; minimizing customer impact while balancing stakeholder needs and expectations
  • Collaborate with Product and Strategy teams to identify areas of opportunity for partner resell expansion
  • Collaborate with Partner Recruitment team to identify expansion opportunities for resell and managed services and coordinate onboarding of newly signed partners
  • Lead launch efforts for new partnerships
  • Assess existing partners for ongoing retention or removal from program

  • About You

    You are a candidate for this opportunity if you have:
  • Bachelor's degree; 10+ years experience in a similar role in Alliance or Partner Management, relationship management or related field experience
  • Proven track record to drive sales through partnership channels across technology and services industries
  • Experience with products and services targeting small and medium sized businesses (SMB)
  • Partner-oriented mindset; the ability to listen to partners and consistently follow through on commitments
  • Collaborative personality; comfortable working across many functions and teams
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent relationship building and influencing skills.
  • Expert technology acumen; deep understanding of current technology trends and market drivers
  • Expert business case and financial modeling skills
  • Ability to effectively navigate and perform in dynamic environments and periodically travel to meet with partners or attend partner events
