TrueVIN is Verisk's most advanced Vehicle Data product, providing insurers with more detail and insights on vehicles they insure by using vehicle build sheet data and the 17-digit VIN to uncover standard features and factory-installed optional equipment. The marketplace for build sheet data products is evolving rapidly, and we're confident that Verisk will be an industry leader. That's why Verisk is investing in additional resources to support the continued growth and evolution of this product.This role will sit within the team that is responsible for vehicle data and auto symbols at Verisk. Verisk (ISO) is established and well-known within the insurance industry for providing high quality data that allows insurers a quick and easy way to identify specific information about vehicles. The creation and expansion of TrueVIN is an exciting addition to our product portfolio, meeting the ever-changing needs of our customers while also addressing the evolution of vehicles on the roads.The team is small, so we are in search of candidates who are capable of effectively working in a group environment while equally comfortable working autonomously. We know a better you means a better us, and your employment with us is a partnership.RESPONSIBILITIES:Product Development and ManagementManage and maintain TrueVIN, ensuring highest levels of quality and accuracyPerform data harmonization across multiple sources of data, implementing quality control protocols to ensure data accuracy and consistencyEnsure highly available environment to consistently meet performance SLAs; Partner with IT to address issues as they ariseExplore new sources of dataDetermine whether new data sources may supplement, complement, or replace current sourcesLeverage existing sources of data already available to VeriskLeverage existing relationships with data vendors to enhance data feeds with valuable, reliable informationEnhance current products or develop new products based on new and existing sources of dataParticipate in strategy meetings involving enhancements and/or new product developmentContribute ideas and feedback with the idea of representing customer interestsImplement any new products or changes resulting from these initiativesMaintain internal and customer-facing documentationEnsure data dictionaries and user guides are up to date, maintaining versioning history as necessaryCreate and maintain documentation and training for Verisk sales staffPartner with marketing to ensure that customer-facing collateral and messaging are up to date, relevant, and properly positionedCustomer Integration and SupportManage new product fulfillmentMonitor customer activity, ensuring timely and accurate customer invoicingRespond to company inquiries, assisting customers with data analysis and implementation, addressing filing objections and rating strategy inquiries as appropriateParticipate in customer meetings as neededPrepare and provide release update communications to active customersQualificationsRelevant Bachelor's degree (mathematics, statistics, etc.), or equivalent combination of education and experience, requiredProgress towards, or completion of, insurance-related courses would be an asset (CAS/ACAS, CPCU, IDMA, etc.)5+ years of Property-Casualty insurance experience, especially personal auto, is preferredFamiliarity with vehicle rating symbols is highly desirableFamiliarity with ISO Personal Auto Rating plan is a plusFamiliarity with countrywide rating and/or regulatory filing requirements is a plusData Analysis and/or Data Engineering experience requiredTechnically inclined with broad understanding and experience working with programming languages such as SQL, R, and PythonBroad understanding and experience applying predictive models to business problems is a plusProven ability to collaborate with IT and other stakeholders in successful product developmentExperience working with 3rd party data providers preferredQuality focused; Initiates action to troubleshoot problems or notifies others of quality issues as appropriateCustomer-focused and operates with a sense of urgency. Has experience engaging with customers, assisting with handling customer inquiries, providing implementation guidance, etc.Other pertinent skills:Strong verbal and written communication and effective presentation skillsDetail-oriented with strong problem solving, reasoning, and decision-making skillsMust be self-motivated and capable of working independentlyAptitude in handling multiple priorities and adapting to changing environments.
