What youll learn & achieve::

The Transformation & PMO Leader will have the ability to lead a group of programs that share common attributes and could be considered part of an operating department. They will provide governance, oversight and coaching of projects and very large, strategic and complex programs. The Transformation & PMO Leader also be responsible for developing and leading the execution of the transformation initiatives within E&A. This includes redesigning existing systems and processes on a global basis, linking the transformation initiatives to the commercial initiatives, evaluating new technologies and implementing programs across the global platform. This also includes building a Program Management COE for E&A while working closely with E&A leadership and Innovation and Transformation leadership. They will develop an understanding of the problems we are trying to solve, the needs of our customers, the approach of our competitors and the capabilities required in our organization. This requires a high level of engagement across key customers, senior executives and other key stakeholders across the enterprise.

  1. Responsible for managing the implementation of significant strategic programs involving complex enterprise wide Software/Technology/IT Programs with management of multiple significant projects.

  1. Involved in developing, modifying, and executing Software/Technology/IT Programs that have global company-wide reach.

  1. Plans the overall program and monitors the progress, and follows the internal Software/Technology/IT Project Lifecycle process and gate reviews for requirements, development, Testing, and QA reviews before going live with solutions.

  1. Provides overall leadership and support to one or more program or project teams

  1. Acts as front-line contact on program related activities, issues, and risks. Manages risks and issues and takes corrective measurements.

  1. Regularly interacts with senior management and leadership on Software/Technology/IT Programs with significant scope and budget. Interfaces with C-Suite Executives and Business Unit Leaders, Finance and develops ROI, IRR and other financial measures, and with Purchasing, develops POs, and manages suppliers and vendor relationships. Manages stakeholders communication.

  1. Defines the program governance (controls).

  1. Manages the programs budget and financial performance.

  1. Coordinates the programs and their interdependencies.

  1. Manages and utilizes resources across programs and projects.

  1. May manage the performance of direct reports by defining accountabilities, establishing performance objectives and goals, providing feedback and guidance and ensuring that all policies are understood and adhered to.

  1. Championsproject management disciplines and provides the processes, structures, andtools for individual project management and program management across E&A including M&As, complex client facing projects, and large scale initiatives.

  1. Leads the process for aligning the Software and Advisory processes for E&A. Implements a structured and standardized approach to gain economies of scale and meet the E&As strategic goals. This will include items such as business case development, alignment of the technical roadmaps, CARF management process, Total Cost of Ownership process and approach, and optimizing the overall process approach working with the COUs and I&T teams.

  1. Supports the E&A teams with skills in process excellence, project management, facilitation, problem solving, accelerating transformation and value creation to drive toward required outcomes. Surfaces capacity, pacing, resourcingissues and any other red flag issues. Ensures timelines are adhered to for initiatives by keeping executives aware of any red flags concerning the timing or integration process

  1. Provides a governance structure. The role ensures accountability and enables the predictability of the outcomes of each priority.

  1. Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices.

  1. Performs other duties as directed.

What makes you a great fit:: Bachelors degree required; Advanced degree preferred. Examples include: MBA, MA in Project Management, or masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
Over ten years of project management experience running large-scale, distributed/complex projects with multiple parallel threads of work.
Experience developing, evaluating and submitting business cases for major investments.
Experience with cross geographical project coordination and management.
Experience with developing RFI/RFP and scoring mechanisms would be preferred.
Experience in Organizational Change Management.
PMP, Prince 2, and/or Agile certifications preferred but not required with related hands on delivery experience.
ITIL Foundations preferred but not required.

Must have excellent product, program and project management skills and demonstrated technical acumen, and industry knowledge
Proven ability to build and lead integrated teams from various internal and external organizations across multiple sites
Ability to achieve broadly communicated objectives with a minimal amount of supervision
Ability to promote innovative ideas and accept the risks that are required to lead change
Ability to make decisions independently and to assume higher-level leadership responsibilities in critical situations
Strong analytical and financial skills
Ability to innovate under new and/or changing conditions
An independent problem-solver that can make high quality judgements and decisions quickly with excellent organizational skills
Effective consultative and influencing approach
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels, with Senior Executive Level reporting and escalation experience
Solid foundation on latest technologies to be able to understand service interdependences and drive towards technical solutions for multi-tiered systems a plus
An understanding of software engineering practices including design, code quality, data structures, technical problem-solving a plus
Led complex technical projects with aggressive schedules
Experience with cross geographical project coordination and management
