Design and create automated test frameworks and scripts to validate the functionality of web and desktop applications at the UI and API level. Assist Quality Assurance team by providing automation solutions as needed for their test data development, test execution, and validation.Job Description:Primary AccountabilitiesMajor areas of accountability: Automated Testing Framework Design and Automated Test Script DevelopmentDesign and develop the automated test frameworks and scripts to effectively validate technology projects on both functional requirements and technical specifications.Design processes for test case automation and test execution. Review system specifications and documentation at appropriate points in the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Define, track and publish quality assurance metrics related to each project.Actively participate in project phase end review sessions.Provide feedback to technology teams and business partners on streamlining existing processes through automation.Translate QA needs into automated solutions to testing processes. Demonstrate and communicate the use of automated frameworks and tools for execution by others. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current quality assurance principles, automated testing tools and frameworks, processes, quality control methodologies and other technology advances. Assist in developing, improving, and documenting automated testing procedures. Ensure that the appropriate testing methodologies are applied on all assigned projects.Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements5+ years test automation experience.Effective written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated experience using version control systems and automated testing tools and using scripting languages.Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) concepts.Skilled knowledge in testing concepts, tools and methodologies working in a highly regulated environment/industry.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Experience creating automated API tests required (ReadyAPI preferred)Experience creating automated UI tests required (TestComplete preferred)Experience with Guidewire automated testing preferredExperience working with Agile processes preferredAdditional Job Information:When you work at Connect, powered by American Family Insurance you can expect benefits that support your physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing.
