Job Description

Aetea has been asked by their valued client, to assist with their need for a TechnicalSolution Architects. The client and the team yoursquoll be working in are great and offer positive challenges in a dynamic environment. Looking for a technicalsolution architects (2) that are hands on. Specifically, think of a technical lead that has solid design skills including an understanding of risk vs. cost economics. Wersquoll also be updating our interview processes to be more of a problem solving session on-par with many software design interviews at mid to large IT firms so we are evaluating the specific skills in question. Here are the details An architect must be able to refine functional requirements when there are gaps in order to make sure all questions are answered, and receive business acceptance when it is a business critical item (as opposed to an underlying system one) An architect needs to be able to identify NFRs and amend the list, or set system specific NFRs where appropriate An architect needs to be able to provide a complete solution that meets the functional and non-functional requirements down to the specific implementation systems An architect needs to be to be able to represent a complete solution as a system independent solution An architect needs to be familiar with software engineering design patterns, and their functional are - if there are gaps in their knowledge they need to self-study to know their domain (nothing is doing is new - even the product structure is just an extension of normal restaurant models) An architect must be able to identify and solve for generic solutions to common problems (aka patterns) eg. data federation Knowledge of specific modeling languages is good, but optional - what is more important is design thinking An architect must be able to function as an engineer or Tech Lead - so knowledge of systems and languages is required An architect is expected to come up to speed on the specific toolstechnologies being used in their domain area (SAP, CT, Talend, PostgreSQL, MongoDb, Sterling OMS, Kubernetes, Docker, Istio, etc) An architect is expected to be able to participate in and lead conversations regarding the TCO, ROI, and risk management of particular solution options This is a great opportunity to get in with a stable and growing organization that values technology and the people that drive it.
