Technical Sales Representative Location: Hybrid/Remote in Washington, DC Job Code: 1312 Description

KeyLogic is seeking a Technical Sales Representative with experience selling software and/or hardware products to Federal Government customers. As a proven professional in navigating the Federal Government landscape, the Technical Sales Manager will have demonstrated experience and working-level knowledge of the Federal procurement process and contracting mechanisms.

Previous success factors include a successful track record; top performer (quota overachievement) status; a history of initial seeding of accounts; and closing long-term, multi-million dollar accounts.

Position Requirements:

  • 5-15 years of experience selling software/hardware products to Federal Government agencies with a robust network and list of contacts
  • Demonstrated ability to advance initiatives (new business offerings, new strategic markets, new clients, etc.)
  • Proven ability to develop networking relationships with 'buyers' (i.e. decision makers), including Government managers and directors
  • Proven ability to develop networking relationships with strategic partners
  • Proven success prospecting, building a pipeline, moving opportunities through the sales cycle; and proposing, presenting, and discussing solutions with the decision-makers
  • Technical understanding of Federal Government customer's data storage, data transmission, and data management challenges
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to support the full sales lifecycle; from lead generation/identification, set meetings and demonstrations, negotiations (sales/pricing/terms), closing and post sale follow up
  • Experience using a CRM solution (i.e. SalesForce)
  • Experience providing input to software/hardware products pricing models preferred
