Job Description

An employer is looking for a Technical Product Owner to join the strategy and business development organization within the video space. As the Product Owner, you will be responsible for supporting the internal application used to show/drive sales by the call center and brick and mortar. This internal application is a complex system interacting with the catalogs, the billers, the tax systems, etc. Your day to day will include capturing the customer requirements and ideas by writing user stories and attend the teams daily stand-up meetings to understand teams progress. You will verify that stories are in the proper format, contain valid confirmation (aka acceptance criteria), and are in line with the Program vision and scope. This includes any necessary design details, business rules, NFRs, etc. You will works with the System Architect team to ensure Enablers are properly prioritized so as not to mortgage the future of the architecture. Lastly, you will prioritize and update the Team Backlog and meet with Product Management and stakeholders regularly to field questions and inform them of any updates or changes to scope. Minimum Requirements- At least 3-4 years of experience as a product manager supporting a complex system- Experience working with the IT delivery team and application architects having this technical background will help in understanding technical solutions, craft user stories and comprehend solution- Experience with Safe Agile in this role you will participate in the iteration retrospective events (2-week sprints)- Experience prioritizing the team backlog using Jira or similar tool - Experience as the direct connection between Agile team and the business through story development and the iteration - Experience supporting a product that is consumer facing; consumer facing industry experience (video, television, streaming)
