Job Description

The Technical Product Owner (TPO) drives execution against a defined product roadmap as part of the Digital Product Commercialization (DPC) organization. The TPO works with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure the technical requirements are clear and actionable. In this role you will be the subject matter expert for our Intelligent Character Recognition (ICR) capabilities and integrations. You will bridge the gap between the customer and our technical teams, rationalizing requests into requirements and partnering with our vendors to drive meaningful development that improves our product capabilities. This team ensures high accuracy in the data interpreted from the loan documents to help support our current clients and maintain our position as the market leader. Every quarter the TPO will deliver key enhancements to our clients by partnering with internal stakeholders, engineering, and QA to execute against our product roadmap.


• Be the subject matter expert for ICR integrations

• Vendor relationship management (technical)

• Rationalize business requests into technical requirements that drive meaningful development

• Own defined KPI's for your product and prioritization of work to maintain adherence to defined objectives

• Facilitate estimation sessions, backlog grooming and sprint reviews

• Participate and lead sprint demos, product demos and monthly product reviews

• Ensure dependencies are clearly mapped and sequenced with other technical product owners plans

• Attend all team ceremonies and support continuous improvement across the team


Required: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field

• 5+ years working as a product owner or business analyst within a software engineering team using Agile delivery methodology

• Demonstrated ability to rationalize business-level requirements into technical requirements and industry-standard formats including Open API contracts, system, and logical diagrams

• Previous experience with ICR, Optical Character Recognition (OCR), or similar mortgage software integrations

Required Knowledge or Skills:

• Demonstrated understanding of Agile processes that power modern product delivery

• Exceptional product roadmap grooming and execution skills

• Demonstrated experience using Jira and Confluence, writing user stories, creating technical requirement documentation, and managing product backlog

• Successful track record working with customers, vendor partners, engineering, and QA

• Knowledge of the following technologies/platforms:

• API Integrations and JSON

• Swagger

• Postman (or other REST tool)

• C#, AWS, SQL a plus

• Ability to demonstrate problem solving and execution capability in leading the delivery of product

• Must be a self-starter who can take on work and make progress with minimal supervision

• Agile and/or Scrum Certifications a plus
