Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES Kforce has a client in search of a Tech Writer in Cambridge, MA. Summary Under general supervision, the candidate writes and edits technical Templates Documents to formalize the IT Infrastructure Build Document repository. Repository contains various Design, Engineering, Configuration, Installation, and Operational documents that focus on various 'towers' within an IT Build Space, Power, Cooling, Cabling WAN, LAN, Wireless networking Conference Room, AV, and Digital Signage and As-Built documents that can be handed to IT Operations as a package. Documents require review confirmation, and 'normalizing' documents to a common format. Duties and Responsibilities Familiarize oneself with the current Document Repository and understand intended 'hierarchy' Suggest changes and improvements as warranted Format and Formalize the document set Interview individual Platform Owners to review the current documentstandards and confirm or modify with updated information Develop a periodic review cycle for Platform Owners to review their respective documents to incorporate any recent changes to standards 4) Develop a HOTS (Hand Over to Service) document that provides summary and detailed information required to allow a Managed Service Provider to onboard and Operationalize services. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree with 1 to 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified Ability to write, edit, andor revise a range of technical communications from specifically compiled raw data Skill in collecting, analyzing, verifying, and manipulating research data Ability to communicate with and understand the requirements of professional staff in area of specialty Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications Ability to interact with staff in a team environment Knowledge of current technological developmentstrendsacronyms in area of expertise, specifically around IT Build technologies (Data Center Space, Power, Cooling, Cabling Network WAN, LAN, WLAN Conference RoomAVDigital Signage room types, technology) Kforce is an Equal OpportunityAffirmative Action Employer.
