Job Description

Fine Point Consulting, Wisconsin's premier Accounting and HR services firm, is hiring a Tax Manager to join our fun and high energy team. We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to lead and manage multiple operations of the tax practice area and to deliver quality tax services. You will serve as business adviser to our clients working on maximizing engagement and achieving qualitative outcomes.

Responsibilities

Accurately review and file federal and state tax returns in a timely manner.
Proactively work with clients to develop tax planning strategies
Work with leadership and tax team members to improve and develop processes for tax department and growth
Coordinate with onboarding and accounting teams to smoothly integrate tax planning across all phases
Complete responses and schedules in preparation for income tax audits.
Monitor developments in tax legislation and prepare action plans as necessary
Educate management and staff on relevant tax issues and changes in legislation.
Encourage and develop relationships across tax and accounting functions to best serve our clients
Supervise members of the tax team to ensure that tax returns are completed correctly.
Proactively build relationships and communicate effectively with the client to provide superior customer service.
Coach and manage a team.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
CPA Licensure
4-6 years experience in private/public accounting working with clients in the $1-$10 million in revenues per year range.
1-2 years experience as direct manager of staff
Strong technology skills using Microsoft Office 2016 or later (Word, Excel and Outlook at a minimum, more applications preferred); QuickBooks or other accounting software experience required.
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
Team player with a positive 'can do' approach.
A general and growing knowledge of firm services and technology tools.
