Positions in this function include those who monitor and operate computer and peripheral equipment: review, analyze, and modify programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for large-scale computer systems. Evaluate system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. Provide expertise in software systems programming, operating software applications, consulting on complex projects/existing applications, timely completion of scheduled jobs, and overall operating systems. Also includes overseeing environments' health and facilitation of high severity incidents to improve the state of service availability and continuity. Develop processes and activities that focus on restoring service after an incident occurs. Document all hardware, application, facility, etc. problems and take corrective action as required.

Shift is Wednesday through Monday 6 P.M. to 3 A.M.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinated work with rolling out performance bulletin and discovered fixes both reactive and proactive
  • Collaborating with Engineering, Problem and Incident management teams to resolve issues and ensuring solutions are viable and consistent
  • Hardware fleet review and update of current revision levels of all firmware, drivers and OS
  • Virtual fleet review and update of current revision levels of all firmware, drivers and upgrades that are required in the VMware vSphere virtual environment
  • Generally, work is self-directed and not prescribed
  • Works with less structured, more complex issues
  • Serves as a resource to others

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or 5 years of related and equivalent work experience
  • Experience with VMware vSphere Administration 6.5, 6.7 and 7.0 Products (vCF, SDDC, AutoDeploy, NSX, VUM, SRM, vCenter, ESXi, Host Profiles, VVols, vDS, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with RHEL 6 and 7
  • Experience with HPE, Dell and Cisco UCS Server hardware rack mount and blade systems
  • Experience with HPE OneView & Dell Open Manage
  • Experience working with the healthcare industry
  • Experience working with a geo-dispersed team
  • Broad knowledge and experience with hardware and software systems, including their installation, maintenance and life cycles
  • Basic network troubleshooting experience
  • Grasp of scripting or development language (PowerShell, JavaScript, Ruby) and preferably workflow orchestration through vRealize Orchestration and/or Configuration Management through CHEF (Puppet/Ansible)
  • Familiar with the audit and compliance tenants of ITIL
  • Willing and able to work on Wednesday-Sunday evenings
  • Ability to be a point-of-contact for technical questions that may arise

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $64,800 to $116,000.
