Job Description

Responsibilities Responsible for the design and maintenance of application interfaces related to business and clinical systems. Provides technical support to application support personnel and end users to modify and maintain existing interfaces. Supports the interface engine application and associated server hardware, working with in-house technical support staff as well as application vendors. Communicates and coordinates with end users, coworkers and vendors to discuss configuration needs and support requests. Troubleshoots interface problems and resolves issues related to the desired exchange of systems data. Performs administrative tasks such as creating technical reports, system documentation, memoranda, and instructional documentation. Demonstrate a highly motivated, self-starting, take charge work ethic that sets a good example for others. Qualifications EducationAssociates degree required, preferably in Computer/Information Science or combination of comparable skills, experience, training, and/or education. Licensure/CertificationCloverleaf certification required or must obtain within 12 months of obtaining position. Must qualify for Epic required minimum certifications as described in Good Maintenance plan. ExperienceFour years directly related experience required, preferably in a Healthcare industry with Unix and Windows computing environment at the interface support and technical support level. Knowledge of Cloverleaf software, TCL programming language, familiarity with McKesson Horizon products desired. Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesEffective technical skills including system security, application interface support, and/or ability to think critically and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities. Must be proficient with associated system tools, TCP/IP, FTP, Telnet, and UNIX administration. Knowledge of project management techniques. Working knowledge of Health Level Seven (HL7) usage standards. Problem resolution, customer service and troubleshooting skills. Ability and willingness to work on multiple projects at one time and be able to adapt to changing priorities. Business or technical analysis skills in the analysis, design, development, or implementation of small to large-scale computer application interfaces. Personal Computer skills, including keyboard, operating systems, word processing, spreadsheets, databases and project management software. Ability to communicate complex issues effectively with customers, upper management, and technical personnel. Physical DemandsPhysical abilities necessary to move throughout the hospital, including on campus and off campus buildings, in order to accomplish duties. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to sit for long periods of time.
