Overview:The Systems team is critical in supporting designing, building, and maintaining the core IT hardware and software infrastructure for all enterprise services, including architecture, operations, implementation, business continuity, and compliance. Additionally, we provide services and assistance to our broad range of remote locations as needed for their operations and ongoing efficiency efforts.This position is responsible for helping achieve the operational and strategic objectives of the organization's IT needs from an Infrastructure perspective. Duties include: recommending and documenting plans, policy, standards, procedures and checklists; managing infrastructure system assets (servers, storage, Cloud Services, etc.); assessing, analyzing requirements and developing functional and design specifications; providing system and technical support to customers; assisting the organization maximize technology; recommending and implementing system and technology solutions and improvements; troubleshooting systems and technology and automating organizational tasks.Responsibilities:Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.Design and deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems.Conduct research on software and systems products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure system-related products and services.Determine the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.Propose and create system design models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to systems engineers and development teams.Design and perform server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company's disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.Ensure system connectivity of all servers and other applications.Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.Monitor and test system performance; prepare and deliver system performance statistics and reports.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in computer science or electrical engineering and/or 1-5 years equivalent work experience.Must be proficient with Python/PowerShell programming languagesMust have prior experience with Linux operating systemExperience with AWS Cloud services is a plusExperience with Cloud Computing and server technologiesWindows Servers & Associated Services:Active Directory, File & Print, IIS, RDS, etc.Permissions & SecurityDesign & MaintenanceStrong skills in server virtualization and troubleshootingStrong administration and configuration skillsNew buildsSoftware loadsTroubleshootingStrong knowledge of Active DirectoryDesign / structure / best practicesGPO administrationAD replicationStrong networking technologiesTCP/IP, DHCP, DNSServer clustering technologiesExperience with various monitoring tools e.g.SNMP, WMISolar Winds / OrionAWS Cloudwatch, Grafana, ELKStrong skills in patching and deployment technologies e.g.WSUSSCCMAWS SSMNice to have skills:Experience in a large server Environments 1,000+ serversExperience in a multi-datacenter environmentExperience with Google AppsExperience with SOX controlsOnce your application has been submitted and reviewed, the next step in our screening process is an on-demand video interview powered by HireVue.
