The primary purpose of this position is to: provide installation, training, technical support, diagnostics and maintenance on multiple operating systems, multiple hardware configurations, applications software and peripherals in a non-standardized environment and multiple jurisdictions. This position is primarily responsible for multiplestatewide networks. It provides additional assistance, support and backup to all Regions and Community Corrections throughout the State as needed. The ISS 7 provides expertise and leadership to analyze, plan, develop, integrate, implement, and coordinate the operations, maintenance, installation, and construction of information systems. DOC System Administrators are responsible for: Patching and maintaining DOC IT Infrastructure Ensure DOC IT systems are administered in a way that this is in compliance with Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS), State of Oregon statewide security plan and standards, and other applicable information security standards. Responding to incidents and services requests in a timely manner. Ensuring the integrity of DOC information technology systems.by validating back-up copies and processes, observing privileged access best practices, implementing technology and processes to preventing unauthorized access to DOC IT infrastructure. Test and maintain DOC disaster recovery and systems and processes WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS? Six (6) years of information systems experience, OR An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field; AND Four (4) years of information systems experience; OR A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field AND two (2) years of information systems; OR A Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field may substitute for all of the above.
