NV5 Geospatial is actively recruiting a Systems Administrator for ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise Server and Portal who possesses sound expertise in geospatial technologies and analytic methodologies. This position will be primarily responsibility for administration tasks for the client's primary geodatabase on ArcGIS Server and maintaining current geospatial applications on the client's ArcGIS Portal environment. The individual must be self-motivated with exceptional planning, critical thinking, analytical and communication skills. The Administrator must work well in a team environment and be self-motivated.

The data is just beginning to reach new audiences and there will be a need for a stable multiuser Enterprise geodatabase that is routinely backed up and improved upon through a variety of quality improvement initiatives.
This job is full time. This job currently has a 3 month term with the strong expectation that it will extended at the end of its term. Due to federal contract requirements, the candidate must be a US Citizen and capable of attaining required security clearance.
While the position is able to be remote, there is an expectation that the individual will regularly travel between various client locations to demonstrate meet with GIS professionals and to assist in improving workflows and data quality.
Maintain a multiuser geodatabase on client's ArcGIS Enterprise Portal environment.
Implements time sensitive large scale database changes.
Works with team and other support staffs to discover data quality improvement workflows, potential applications for Portal and database solutions.
Develop map products as needed
Researches the GIS needs of user clients.
Submits all relevant GIS-related software for approval through client's software approval process
Communicates highly technical information to non-technical government staff.
Perform bulk data loading and database export functions to outside sources.
Provides geospatial geodatabase training and produces Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) documentation
Prepares models, diagrams and technical documentation for GIS applications, GIS database metadata and operating procedures.
GIS Data Quality Control and Assurance to various governmental data standards (SDSFIE, etc) to ensure a high degree of data consistency, integrity, and accuracy.
Travel required; 15-20% of time
Degree Requirements: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major work in physical or natural science, geography, engineering, planning, computer science or a related field
Four years of experience using GIS in the ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise (Server/Portal) environment.
User must have passed or be capable of passing a Security+ certification within 6 months of initial employment.
Experienced in working with Microsoft SQL Server or other RDBMS's and Windows server environments.
Must have a thorough technical understanding of key technologies (GIS, CAD, Database) and experience administering a multiuser geodatabase with replica management.
Capable of utilizing Python to script GIS desktop and server processes
Ability to communicate highly technical information and the ability to work independently with limited supervision
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Geography, GIS or related field.
2 years or more of GIS experience w/ DoD GIS standards
Experience maintaining and implementing an ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise deployment.
Experience in public speaking; preference will be given to those with experience in conducting training
Use of GPS equipment to facilitate data collection and post processing of data.
Experience using FME Desktop and FME Server
Knowledge or familiarity with the cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure or AWS
Active Secret Security Clearance
