Job Description

The SVP of Business Development & Client Services is responsible for leading business development and driving the strategy for generating and executing on appropriate origination opportunities and system implementation engagements for our existing and future mortgage banking, banking, and credit union clients. As a key driver of the Company's overall strategic growth plan, the position will lead and work with the Area President and business heads to identify, evaluate and execute opportunities; maintain relationships with strategic companies; proactively track trends and external influences on growth opportunities, and present to executive staff on a regular basis. The ideal candidate will have established relationships within the mortgage industry, specifically C-Suite and/or Senior level decision makers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and implements strategy to reach and attract new clients and increase wallet-share of existing clients
  • Meet or exceed sales goals each quarter aiming towards a year-over-year growth
  • Partner with the area president in the advisory and consulting/business process services divisions
  • Develop and prioritize a portfolio of clients based upon criteria that aligns with the overall corporate strategy and company goals, including profitability, risk, and sustainability
  • Be able to accurately describe the Company's value proposition and determine if the potential client opportunity fits the strategy
  • Schedule/facilitate in-person (and virtual) meetings with appropriate leaders from both the Company and the target client
  • Lead creation of product materials such as target proposals and meeting materials by working with the marketing department
  • Prepare and present opportunities for review by executive management
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape
  • Follow-up, provide feedback, be available to answer questions, and facilitate communication between appropriate parties to achieve alignment
  • Represent the Company at industry conferences to establish a presence and develop contacts

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or business experience equivalent
  • 10+ years' experience in mortgage servicing and/or origination
  • 8+ years' leadership experience
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with Senior/Executive VP and C-Suite executives
  • Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks
  • Adaptable and capable of working both independently and collaboratively
  • Detail-orientated and analytical with the ability to organize data and think critically
  • Self-starter with strong negotiation skills
  • The ability to influence and persuade
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, ability to build rapport rapidly
  • Executive-level presentation and oral and written communication skills required
  • Proven leader with extensive ability to build solid and collaborative relationships with team members
