This role manages ongoing contract relationships and service delivery to clients for one or more accounts. Acts as outward-facing, dedicated resource for assigned accounts, typically with direct client contact (not call center) and large or complex accounts. Builds relationships with employer/group clients (not individual members) and serves as the primary point of contact for overall and day-today service delivery. Represents client internally and coordinates with other functions to implement client systems, complete projects, and address ongoing service needs. This function includes employees who are in dedicated on-site service roles. Jobs in this function may work closely with sales on renewals and upselling, but incumbents do not have specific sales goal accountability or primary responsibility to close sales. Account management jobs focused primarily on relationship and service management belong in this family; jobs with significant sales responsibilities or sales-related incentives (including "OTH" plans) belong in a sales band.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage ongoing contract relationships and service delivery to clients for one or more accounts
  • Predict emerging customer needs and develops innovative solutions to meet them.
  • Develop and manages business plans to achieve objectives.
  • Leads large, complex projects to achieve key business objectives.
  • Translate highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences.
  • Influence senior leadership to adopt new ideas, products, and/or approaches.
  • Direct cross-functional and/or cross-segment teams.
  • Acts as outward-facing, dedicated resource for assigned accounts, typically with direct client contact (not call center) and large or complex accounts
  • Build relationships with employer / group clients (not individual members) and serves as the primary point of contact for overall and day-to-day service delivery

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience in a Client Management or Account Management role
  • 3+ years of working experience in the PBM industry
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate matrixed environment
  • Demonstrated ability to foster and grow relationships that will facilitate and resolve client issues
  • Travel required up to 25% of the time (approximately up to once a month)
  • Flexibility and ability to work on PST time zone
  • If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge regarding Commercial, Medicare Part D, Health Exchange and Medicaid
  • Project management expertise managing multiple projects, understanding the project plans
  • Ability to influence without authority

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600.
