Job Description

The opportunity
A doctor told us: "I used to see 13 patients a day and felt exhausted. Now I see 20 without feeling tired." Another: "I forget the tool is even on. I just focus on my patient."

That's what we're building toward. Not better software but a clinic that runs itself, so the people inside it can focus entirely on care.

Docplanner serves 300,000 doctors across 13 markets, handling over 20 million appointments a month. That scale gives us something no one else has: the ability to reinvent how a clinic works, from the ground up, for the people who need it most. We're becoming the operating system of healthcare, powered by AI. And we're looking for the designer who will shape what that means.

The role
Staff Designer. Fully hands-on, no management. You work end-to-end spending real time talking to the people who use what you build, extracting what they can't quite articulate, then turning it into something so simple and obvious it disappears into the work. Peer to engineering and product directors. The design conscience of the whole area.
The people using what you build chose medicine, not software. They should never feel the difference.

You're drawn to reinvention, to the rare chance to reimagine something that millions of people experience every day, and make it feel like it was always meant to be this way.

Why now
In our current markets alone, we have the potential to reach 5 million doctors, we're at 300,000 today. The Practice Management Systems area is rebuilding from scratch. No inherited decisions to defend, no incumbent way of doing things to protect.
Our ambition: 1 billion patient visits supported every year within the next decade. Every unnecessary step you remove, every moment of confusion you eliminate, it compounds.

What will set you up for success in this role?

• Fluency in English.

• 6+ years of experience in Product Design, with a track record of leading successful design projects from inception to execution.

• Expertise in traditional design tools such as Figma and integration of AI-first workflows using Claude, Gemini, Stitch or any other AI agents that will help scale design impact.

• Strategic thinking—with the ability to drive product vision and design strategy autonomously and impact-driven decision-making.

• Strong experience in hypothesis generation, experimentation, A/B testing, and data-informed decision-making.

• Demonstrated leadership in collaborating with cross-functional teams including product management, research, engineering, and data analysis to deliver business and user value.

• Experience working with data, business KPIs, and success metrics to align design efforts with broader company goals.

• Deep understanding of systems thinking and component-based design principles, with the ability to scale design practices across teams.

• Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale clearly to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

• Skilled in giving and receiving feedback to elevate the quality of design work across the team.

• Adaptability navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities without compromising quality or momentum.

• Growth mindset: While we don't expect you to check every box, a passion for learning and self-improvement is highly valued.

Must have for the application

• A portfolio featuring examples of your design work and problem-solving skills.
