Primary Responsibilities:
  • Sales Strategy and Execution for all 1st and 2nd sale opportunity for Pet Insurance
  • Uses pertinent data and facts to identify and solve a range of problems within area of expertise. Investigates non-standard requests and problems, with assistance from others
  • Works exclusively within a specific knowledge area
  • Prioritizes and organizes own work to meet deadlines
  • Assesses and interprets customer needs and requirements
  • Identifies solutions to non-standard requests and problems
  • Solves moderately complex problems and/or conducts moderately complex analyses
  • Works with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks
  • Translates concepts into practice
  • Provides explanations and information to others on difficult issues
  • Support all field education and sales efforts for Pet Insurance Referrals
  • Ensure alignment and understanding of program/project scope and objectives with the organization's strategic objectives, in consultation with applicable stakeholders
  • Raise awareness of any mis-alignment or misunderstanding of requested project deliverables and objectives with applicable stakeholders
  • Develop and execute on 2nd sale strategy to secure maximum sold policies within each employer group
  • Help define strategic approach to group business within Figo
  • Create tools to help address sales requests efficiently
  • Build strategic plan to support the goal of increased eligible to quote ratio and quote to sale ratio
  • Sale strategy with both employer and prospective member
  • Monitor volume of requests within Figo from UHC activity to ensure timely response
  • Offer creative solutions with effective and efficient processes to UHC requests
  • Support the development of training materials for various UHC distribution channels
  • Review gaps in marketing material and manage UHC marketing team requests
  • Regular review of marketing material and coordinates updates to reflect current product offering
  • Project management new UHC initiatives from start to completion specifically as it relates to new rollouts within UHC lines of business
  • Support strategy and comprehensive approach for new group product rollout and other product/feature rollout including communication and updating of training and marketing materials both to the employer (1st sale)and prospective member (2nd sale)
  • Produce competitive analysis and new players in the group space and provide materials to UHC field teams within the various distribution channels
  • Help to create comprehensive approach to educating the broker market of new group product
  • Research and understand market opportunities within each UHC business and distribution channel
  • Support UHC's Individual business initiatives
  • Support UHC employer and broker seminars to expand awareness
  • In collaboration with UHC Pre-Member engagement team resources, create comprehensive strategy to include videos, presentations, OE matieral and promotional vehicles to ensure attendance during open enrollment such as raffles and other participation incentives
  • Work with Figo operational leads to understand reporting tools and limitations to data capture. Use knowledge to help lead the build of utilization reports for employers
  • Monitor sales tracking systems for activity and proactively follow up with field representatives. Track and trend sales and losses
  • Support proactive proposal development
  • Coordinate and offer field input to Figo teams on effectiveness of group administrative freatuers processes and plan designs
  • Provide input to Figo teams related to product roadmap and leverage UHC insights for best practices where appropriate
  • Shepherd RFP' questions needing response through the Figo organization including involving appropriate parties, encouraging support for custom or creative solutions where appropriate, advocating for optimal product and pricing, and ensuring quality of responses, reviewing Network Analysis results and working to resolve any identified issues.
  • Support development of group specific cover letters and/or executive summary for the RFP responses
  • Prepare Figo resources and other and internal partners for finalist meetings including researching and cascading information on the client, getting presentation materials together, identifying subject matter expert participants, and confirmation of scheduling
  • Answer questions of the Figo and or UHC teams regarding status of program rollouts, and be knowledgeable about the status of issues
  • Seek quick resolution and answers
  • Collaborate with internal business partners to improve operational efficiency and ensure best practices
  • Develop collegial relationships with internal partners to maximize productivity of resources, improve quality of output, and evolve tools and products to ensure that best in class is delivered to the marketplace
  • Meets and continuously exceeds expected sales targets

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of business experience, with 3+ years of experience in pet or health care
  • Business acumen and solid understanding of sales process
  • Willingness to secure a Property Casualty producer license within first few months of hire

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $90,000 to $175,000. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $70,000 to $140,000. Role is also eligible to receive bonuses based on sales performance. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
