This role will be the primary Salesforce platform expert in the IT organization and is tasked with enabling the Commercial function who own and support the Salesforce platform. This role will be remote in the US. This role will be required to travel globally up to 25%.

The IT Business Analyst is accountable for creating and maintaining a high-performing partnership. The cross-functional team objective will be to maximize Stepan's investment in the Salesforce application via key activities including:

  • Designing, configuring, testing, deploying, and training for the Salesforce platform and integrations.
  • Where appropriate (and in partnership with Commercial function stakeholders), provide functional support and end-user training
  • Key responsibilities include providing technical expertise in formulating business requirements for system functional specifications; define and document processes, procedures, and data flow of business systems; configures system settings and options; plan and execute unit, integration, and acceptance testing to meet business requirements; provide consultation to users; lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.
  • Coordinate and lead IT projects & application enhancements, involving multiple departments and geographic regions, through the steps of the software development lifecycle: requirements gathering and analysis, solution design, testing, implementation, and support

  • Broad exposure to Salesforce application, integrations, and best practices.
  • SAP experience (understanding of integration of processes between Salesforce and SAP).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Salesforce certifications preferred
  • Clearly understands the best practices to be followed in Salesforce configuration and development and follows the same for future implementations
  • Good understanding of business processes and ability to apply educational and practical experience to simplify business processes, standardize business processes and provide simplified and standardized solutions to achieve the business objectives
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT, or related fields; Master's Degree preferred.
