Career Area: Digital Job Description: Job Purpose: The Google Marketing Platform - Google Analytics Suite Product Owner maximizes the value of the product and prioritizes the work of the related Engineering Development & Implementation Team. The Product Owner's primary task is to gather requirements from business partners, create and manage the Product Backlog and to ensure on-time, high quality delivery. The Product Owner is empowered to make decisions regarding the product and priorities and is typically the individual closest to the business partners side of the project. Communication with business partners, solution architecture and implementation teams is required for this position. Job Related Statistics: Responsible for acting as Product Owner for Google Marketing Platform/Google Analytics for 500+ website/apps and additional related projects with high value to the organization - ensuring delivery on time and budget. Knowledgeable on Google Marketing Platform, specifically Google Analytics 360 suite, technical aspects with ability to write requirements for scaling across multiple website/apps with consistency and low tech debt efficiency while meeting business partner deadlines, prioritizing implementation backlog and communicating with business partners on status. Job Duties/Responsibilities may include but not limited to: This role is responsible for delivering Google Marketing Platform/Google Analytics product ownership including intake, business requirements, implementation prioritization, enterprise training, reporting and insights in support of Caterpillar's digital strategy. This includes partnering with digital channel owners as well as analytics, customer service, marketing, legal and mar tech teams to ensure the organization has access to, understands and can act on customers' on-site digital engagement. In support of these goals, this role will work directly with the Google Analytics & Personalization Engineering Team acting as Product Owner. Related Responsibilities include: Product Owner - Decision maker in maximizing and prioritizing the value of the product. Determine with business partner, what will be enabled within each project and project timeframe and budget. Create, maintain, prioritize and communicate status of the Product Backlog to ensure value and meet business partner requirements are met. Gather and convey requirements to the engineering team. Communicate with key stakeholders and business partners throughout the organization. Participate in Scrum Standups and in Sprint Planning meetings, Reveals and Retrospectives. Inspect the product progress prior to delivery to business partner and approve the work that has been completed. Be a champion for governance and processes to ensure scalability and effectiveness. Providing enterprise training, reporting and insights. Innovate new product uses to proactively meet business partner needs. Stay up-to-date on legal and compliance changes within global marketing and analytics areas. Employee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar product management from time to time. BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE: Required Qualifications Position requires a Bachelor's degree, preferably in analytics, statistics, marketing, or other related field. 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst, Implementation Specialist, Team Lead or Product Owner or Related Title 5+ years experience implementing or managing implementation of Google Analytics 360 (Universal or GA4) via Google Tag Manager Google Analytics Individual Qualification Top candidates will also possess these Qualifications Product Owner certification (CSPO from Scrum Alliance) Experience with Azure DevOps. Experience with Digital Marketing technologies, including campaign tracking and Salesforce Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud Google Analytics integrations Demonstrated ability to empower teams and communicate appropriately to ensure business partner and team's success and meet deadlines Strong accountability planning/organization, and teamwork Highly developed interpersonal skills Experience communicating analytical insights to various levels of leadership. Excellent oral and written communication skills Experience working with onshore/offshore team model Technically knowledgeable in Google Marketing Platform Strong analytical skills, proficient with GCP BigQuery, Microsoft O365 Products, Tableau , Data Studio and data analysis methodologies and execution Good knowledge of Caterpillar policies, standards, procedures, and a broad understanding of Caterpillar's organization The preferred location is Peoria, IL, Chicago, IL, Denver, CO, or Dallas, TX, but remote work within the United States is available for the right candidate.
