Job Description

Responsibilities:

As a Sr Product Development Analyst on our Product Management team, you'll coordinate all business-related aspects of complex product development initiatives from idea generation through implementation, ensuring continuous alignment with strategic goals for bank custody products and services at Principal.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Provide business internal and external partners with data needed to make sound business decisions.
  • Proactively monitor the Principal Custody Solutions institutional product and service continuum and find opportunities to improve.
  • Form and present strategic product recommendations to senior management through research of market and client needs, and evaluation of potential solutions and financial impact to company through cost/benefit analysis.
  • Utilize product development methodology through planning, evaluation of concept feasibility and strategic fit, design, implementation, launch and post implementation evaluation to identify and mitigate legal, compliance and business risks for projects.
  • Work with others in Product Development to execute on strategic business plans and HLIs for RISProduct Development.
  • Build relationships with business partners to understand their leadership styles and to solicit feedback and recommendations regarding new and enhanced products and services.
Qualifications:

We are looking for someone with:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, plus 8+ years related work experience required.
  • Advanced knowledge of bank custody products and services required, including investment knowledge.
  • Solid understanding of product research, development and design.
  • Advanced planning/organizational, problem-solving, analytical skills

Successful candidate will have the following:

  • Strong leadership, presentation, and written and verbal communication decision making skills with the ability to influence others.
  • Results-oriented and able to consider the big picture.
  • Strong attention to detail with high degree of accuracy and time management.
