JOB SUMMARY The Sr. MRP Software Engineer will work on projects related to the Planning - MRP, Supply Chain and Factory planning for whole goods, that runs on Infor (MAPICS). The Sr. MRP Software Engineer is responsible for creating detailed design and integration of software development by effectively partnering with business users and application developers. This individual will analyze existing business processes and data flows to develop systems designs, delivery roadmaps and integrations to other systems. The Sr. MRP Software Engineer must demonstrate passion for strengthening and enhancing business results through software solutions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Systems Design, Validation, and Implementation + Support Whole Goods planning functionalities in Infor, MRP and other custom changes used by Supply Chain and Factory planning team. + Working with the stakeholders with design, development, and implementation of projects. + Support (and sometimes lead) Root cause analysis when the business team can't figure out what just happened in the system. + Support testing activities and provide guidance on configuration and coding when needed. + Write test scenarios, perform system testing and lead user acceptance testing. + Document functional/technical design specifications for software developers/programmers. + Collaborate with other systems analysis and project managers to get the design reviewed. + Executes implementation tasks and ensures successful go-live for ensuring that the systems meet the needs of the business through user acceptance testing + Work with users and co-workers to manage a project from concept through testing and rollout + Ensures compliance with SOX Gathering Requirements and Analysis + Analyzes current and future state of the business processes + Evaluates alternatives and formulates system scope and objectives to create or modify an application + Responsible for producing deliverables including business process flows; use cases; and storyboards + Facilitates project and administrative meetings System and User Support + Provides day-to-day application support to business users + Troubleshoots production problems and works to fix issues + Understands technology and systems infrastructure + Work with users on functional requirements, development, and implementation plans + Document and trains users on system processes and changes + Performs other duties as assigned that support overall objective of the position + Value and embrace teamwork and collaboration and be responsible for successful completion of tasks SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE Required + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Software Design, Computer Information Systems or equivalent + 5+ years of experience in software engineering with increasing scope and responsibility + 3+ years of experience writing functional and technical specifications in the iSeries platform for Custom applications and Infor XA/MAPICS - ERP systems is required + 3+ years of experience with Planning functionalities within MRP & Supply Chain is required; strongly preferred experience with Infor XA/MAPIC + Responsible for being able to query, analyze and communicate data needs across the supply chain department + Ability to test, diagnose and fix Infor-XA/MAPICS customization/enhancement issues + Thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple project assignments + Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure + Ability to work independently with minimum supervision + Excellent analytical and creative problem solving skills + Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills + Possesses strong organizational skills + Strong customer service orientation Preferred + Experience with Blue Yonder + Ability to understand IBMi custom applications functionality + Functional knowledge with manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, supply chain business processes _We are an ambitious, resourceful, and driven workforce, which empowers us to THINK OUTSIDE._ _Apply today!_ About Polaris As the global leader in Powersports, Polaris Inc.
