Role Overview

ID.me is seeking a results-driven Sr. Manager, Procurement to join our fast-paced growing Finance team. Reporting into the Head of FP&A, the Sr. Manager, Procurement will lead vendor negotiations for our largest contracts, improve our procurement processes, and work across the organization to find cost savings and develop strategic vendor partnerships. In order to be successful in these objectives, the role will act as an  “embedded” resource to support vendor negotiations across various functions within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, great attention to detail, and will enjoy rolling up their sleeves and being part of an innovative culture where they can make something better everyday. 

 

Responsibilities

Procurement Processes 

    • Improving procurement process maturity across all functions and the organization as a whole 
    • Coordinating with Legal on vendor contract management database  
    • Shepherding all vendor spend through BUY process including coordination with Legal and Compliance to ensure visibility, tracking, and procurement best practices 
    • Reconciling invoices and and determining best course of action for out of contract spend
    • Implementing new procurement systems and tools

 

Vendor Negotiations 

    • Leading negotiations for largest key vendors (outside of Product stack)
    • Developing RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs, for large vendor spend in concert with various functions 
    • Working with FP&A to take organizational inputs (headcount, strategic focus, budget) to assess business cases associated with vendor spend 
    • Roadmapping vendor cost savings initiatives across the organization, including benchmarking areas for improvement    

Ideal Qualifications

 

The qualifications below are ideal, but not all are required.  We encourage candidates to apply if they satisfy some, but not all of the qualifications.

  • 5+ years of Procurement or Supply Chain experience for a SaaS technology company, preferably in the Security or Identity ecosystem  
  • Strong Microsoft Excel financial and operational modeling skills 
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal direction from management in a dynamic fast-paced environment  
  • Strong understanding of legal principles related to contracts
  • Ability to effectively negotiate with outside parties enabled by strong preparation and scenario modeling 
  • Experience with MineralTree and Jira preferred
  • Experience using and implementing supply chain and procurement applications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
