Required Interactions:

Sciex is looking for an energic, creative, inquisitive, and highly capable Senior Financial Analyst to support the Commercial team in sales planning & analysis. In this highly open role, the Sr. Finance Analyst will be responsible for district forecast roll-ups within the Americas region, reporting, and analysis. A successful candidate will have Business Analysis experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a multifaceted, fast-paced, and lively environment. They would exhibit strong business insight with a desire and ability to understand the business and not simply report on the business. They must not only be at ease partnering with senior management on resource and planning needs but also enjoy identifying and driving operational improvements across the Commercial forecasting process.

* Collect, consolidate, and generate weekly sales forecasts (month and quarter focus) and roll up each week's (day's) numbers to Sales Management.
* Support long-range sales funnel analysis and rolling forecast delivery for commercial P&L.
* Drive executive reporting of sales and marketing results, key metrics and ad hoc strategic analysis.
* Supervise and analyze key metrics - pipeline growth, quota attainment, sales performance.
* Establish a regular cadence with business partners to review monthly actuals, analyze forecast variance, identify trends, and provide recommendations to drive forecast execution and accuracy.
* Perform in-depth financial & operational analysis and monthly/quarterly/annual forecast modeling, including Sales, Price, and Margin analysis to accelerate future business planning decisions.
* Prepare and present monthly financial reports and analyze financial performance vs. expectations.
* Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end FP&A close activities, including preparation of journal entries, reporting, and forecast activities related to all areas of Commercial P&L.
* Develop interactive models to drive budget creation, measure the impact of past performance, assess the feasibility of new insights, and support decision-making.
* Prepare, analyze and distribute functional and internal management reports, including financials P&L and operating review package.
* Understand standard accounting principles and policy and interact with accounting and financial partners to maintain proper financial processes, procedures, and controls.
* Conduct ad-hoc planning and analysis to support the business and senior management.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

* BS in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience.
* 5+ years of validated experience in FP&A - Finance.
* Strong financial modeling, analytical and problem-solving skills that efficiently interpret problems to provide solutions.
* Proficient Excel capabilities including crafting automated models and workbooks using formulas, look-ups, and pivot tables.
* Outstanding prioritization skills (strong ability to organize multiple, competing priorities).
* Experience with HFM, Hyperion, Essbase planning, Power BI, Oracle ERP, SalesForce.com, PowerPoint.
* Optimally communicate and present financial data, and collaborate with leadership.
* Natural bias towards continuous improvement.

* The candidate will be expected to learn and participate in the company's continuous improvement culture by supporting daily management activities and participating in team-based improvement in execution projects.
* The ideal candidate should be highly scalable and have the initiative and resourcefulness to complete work assignments in a changing environment. Ability to work with all levels of staff.
* The candidate's internal customers are largely North America based which will necessitate flexibility in working hours to support all time zones in particular the Eastern Time zone.
