About the Position:
Type: Full Time Regular
Compensation: Base + Bonus + year's of experience
Location: Primary location is 9201 E. Mountain View, Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85258. Position is remote.
Hours: Days, Evenings, occasional weekends and flexible

The Business Development organization has primary responsibility for expanding Matrix client base and business pipeline by identifying and developing relationships with well aligned CRO and BioPharma clients. This role uses a variety of tools, such as Global Data, to search for and connect with potential new clients/contacts to introduce Matrix services according to client needs. This role will be assigned to a geographically defined territory, which may have client focus by type (CRO, Biotech, Pharma).
This role will have a sales goal assigned and according to their territory, as well as based on corporate growth goals and financial objectives. It is expected that Business Development activities will be commensurate and as needed to achieve the sales goal. Specific roles and responsibilities in this area include, but are not limited to:
Territory and account planning
Identification of well aligned clients within territory
Introduction and presentation of Matrix service mix
Supports proposal development and submission
Coordinate and manage client presentations
Manages client relationship with goal of expansion
Enters BD activity and opportunity detail in CRM for reporting, accurately maintains records
Participates in pipeline calls, drives business close strategy.
Manages competing deliverables
Attends/participates in conferences as needed
Other responsibilities as assigned
Bachelor of Arts /Science degree in Business Administration or Health Care Administration or related field required. Master's in Science or Business a plus.
5+ years business development experience in clinical research related to DCT capabilities, Sites/Site Networks or Patient recruitment technologies/services.
7+ years of Account Management/Client Operations experience.
Strong understanding of the clinical research industry, with knowledge of DCT and Site space preferred.
Strong understanding of clinical research, current industry challenges, and DCT Trends
Central therapeutical area understanding: Dermatology, ID/IV, CNS, Onc, Rare/Orphan
Proven ability to maintain and develop productive client relationships
Experience working independently to achieve defined financial and operational goals.
Ability to develop relationships and create clarity on client decision criteria
Experience adapting to evolving client needs and new company servicers
Ability to describe the processes and procedures required to deliver a successful project; must understand the critical success factors are that drive delivery of a profitable program.
Direct experience in managing projects/programs, coordinating team members, developing timetables and setting deadlines in order to achieve client objectives.
Ability to present to executive stakeholders in a clear, compelling manner
