Job Description

GEICO's Cloud Products and Services division is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Security Engineer for our Cloud Policy and Governance team. In this role, you will mature our processes and practices to ensure that our applications and data residing in the Cloud is secure and meets our compliance and regulatory requirements.

You will establish or enhance the practices that continuously monitor and enforces the policies and the best practices that are developed by our Cybersecurity and Risk Management Organization to ensure constant compliance. You will work closely with our Cloud Engineers, Solutions Engineers, and DevOps team to operationalize our security policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide cyber security expertise in the analysis, assessment, development, and evaluation of

security solutions and architectures to secure applications, operating systems, databases, and


• Mature our policies, reporting and enforcement mechanism to ensure that we meet our SOX, PCI,

CCPA and other compliance requirements for our cloud based applications.

• Leverage cloud native tooling (Azure Security Center/AWS Control Tower) to ensure constant

adherence to policy and best practices.

• Perform Risk Assessments for cloud ecosystem

• Develop and evangelize cloud security best practices and policies to our internal stakeholders

• Collaborate with our Vulnerability Management team to mature our vulnerability management

practices and processes.

• Work with product owners to prioritize adoption of security policies and best practices for their

services running in Cloud.

Required Qualifications:

• 5-7 years experience with public Cloud Technology (Azure, AWS, GCP)

• Deep understanding of configuring security policies and securing applications and data

• Experience with designing, implementing and managing technical compliance programs such as


• Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate to other

Highly Technical personnel.

• Strong understanding of Agile methodology

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Encourage effective teamwork

Desirable Qualifications:

• Understanding of cyber security & privacy regulations relevant to financial services organizations.

• Industry cyber security certification(s): (CISM, CISSP, or similar)

• Scripting experience with Python , PowerShell etc.

• Industry Cloud Certifications (Azure/AWS/GCP)
