Sr. Associate of Transformation Strategy & Culture Change

The Design Gym (TDG) is an innovation and culture consultancy, focused on unlocking the power of every organization's greatest asset - its people. The Design Gym is looking for a full-time Sr. Associate of Transformation Strategy & Culture Change to join our team in a remote capacity within the US.

Senior Associates at The Design Gym play a key role in project success by driving the research and strategy of the project forward. This work may include leading Executive teams through visioning sessions, helping translate high-level organizational strategy into implementable programs for individual business units or activating teams around a new set of values. Senior Associates are responsible for doing research planning and execution, developing strategies around complex problems, and designing workshop structures that engage a diverse array of stakeholders.

Within this role, a strong sense of autonomy is a must. The ability to ask the right questions, absorb information, and make decisions about what needs to happen next will create success within this role.

What Does Success Look Like

  • You are able to conduct qualitative and quantitative research, developing actionable insights and strategic recommendations for our clients.
  • You pull inspiration from a multitude of sources and can introduce new ideas and inspiration to spur the creativity of your team.
  • You feel confident working with a high-level of autonomy and can translate a project plan into a clear set of actions to deliver.
  • You're comfortable designing and delivering workshop structures, both virtual and in-person, that drive towards the outcomes needed while also creating a magical experience for participants.
  • You enjoy learning about new industries and sectors of business, with a strong grasp of how different organizations operate.
  • You communicate clearly with clients on project updates, proactively crafting messages that convey understanding of the client's needs.
  • You efficiently work with team members to create assets such as slide decks, proposals, and templates; design creative workspaces using tools like Microsoft suite, Google, Miro/Mural, and other virtual collaboration platforms; and ensure that all work is delivered on brand.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Familiarity with the below topics is key, with a strong desire to build deeper knowledge in each of these areas.
    • Design Thinking
    • Experience design (including meeting and workshop design)
    • Customer research, both qualitative and quantitative
    • Organizational design
    • Learning and development
    • Executive communication and facilitation
    • Change management / organizational psychology
  • Confidence in leading conversations and presentations with clients
  • Strong emotional intelligence, communication, presentation and storytelling skills to interact effectively and empathetically with all levels of the organization
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience
  • Solid creative problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking abilities

* Please Note: Travel may be required up to 30-40% of the time, depending upon client needs, COVID restrictions and other pertinent factors.
