Job Description

SQL Developer - UK Remote Working - to £50k

A unique opportunity for a Database Developer! You will be working across a complex and rich, yet relatively modern, financial services engine where the database tiers play a key role.

The software they develop is key in managing over £63 billion worth of investments globally but will also be used by and impact customers all around the world, from Australia to London, Dubai and Hong Kong. The goal is to continually build on the core financial engine, while delivering a modern and dynamic web experience for users.

The tech team is expanding, which means as Database Developer you'll have opportunities to extend the enterprise-grade investment management platform as well as being able to build on and influence the ongoing direction of the systems while having plenty of opportunities to learn and improve your understanding of different technologies.

They are looking for a Microsoft-based senior developer who can handle heavy-duty SQL work. You will work alongside other experienced senior developers to extend the core engine and main product line, which currently supports over 700 corporate firms covering over £63 billion in funds globally.

Experience, qualifications and attributes sought after:

» Proven MS SQL track record, with strong stored-procedure experience

» Ability to write and understand complex SQL routines that perform well on large volumes of data across complex schemas

» Strong Microsoft .Net experience

» Deep knowledge of software best practices and computing

» Good knowledge of common web application architectures

» Strong interest in and ability to analyse things for scalability and reliability

» Experience with high-performance websites or applications will be an advantage

» Knowledge of or experience in an Agile environment

» A systematic approach to development and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment in small, highly focused teams

» Financial services experience would be ideal.
