What you’ll do 

As part of Scout’s Corporate Services team, the Workplace Services Specialist will work to deliver an efficient and engaging workplace environment for Scout’s South Carolina team.  Reporting to the Director of Corporate Facilities and Services, the Specialist will help implement and maintain workplace programs and processes, manage vendor relationships, and contribute to the development of innovative workplace solutions that foster a positive and productive atmosphere.  The ideal candidate will be a proactive, quality-oriented, and cost-conscious professional with a strong knack for problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and a customer-centric approach.

  • Provide support and guidance to South Carolina managers and teams on matters relating to workplace services, i.e. facilities management, office services, business travel, vehicle fleet, etc.
  • Serve as lead for certain assigned workplace programs (ex. uniforms, food services, mail services, etc.) and also backup Corporate Services team on others (ex. travel, vehicle services, suppliers, etc.).
  • On-site point of contact for the company vehicle program, including processing of orders, fleet management, and problem resolution.
  • Development of new vendor relationships for assigned programs, including scope design, service delivery, and performance management.
  • Coordinate with Corporate Services and facilities team on matters relating to day-to-day location operations, i.e. maintenance requests, vendor relations, office supplies, shipping/receiving, etc.
  • Assist with the development and delivery of training material to educate new staff on workplace programs and policies.
  • Track, analyze, and prepare reports on program performance against financial and operational targets
  • Other tasks or projects as directed by the Director, Corporate Facilities & Services.

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
  • At least 5 years professional experience acquired in positions relevant to the role.
  • Proven experience in a similar function, preferably linked to facilities management, office operations, or similar-type role(s).
  • Demonstrated experience establishing workplace programs and managing vendor scopes and performance.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with employees, vendors, and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Quality focus, with a high level of accuracy and an eye for detail.
  • Highly self-motivated and proactive, able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of office technologies, including MS Office (in particular, MS Excel) and CMMS platform(s).

Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly.  This role will be based out of a Scout Motors office in Columbia, SC.  While only infrequent business travel is expected long-term, this position will initially be required to travel regularly to the Scout office in Tysons, VA for cross-training purposes.

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. The salary range listed represents the maximum and minimum starting base pay for this position as of the time of posting. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range: $85,000 - $95,000
