What you’ll do
You will be by Scout Motors Inc. responsible for planning the Material Steering operations by achieving the following:
- Define User Manual and Department procedures to ensure daily Monitoring of Material Flow from suppliers to production line, analyze requirements and identify bottlenecks. Qualify own personnel
- Plan and agree with internal and external Stakeholder the emergency procedure for quick communication and decision making in case of material shortages,
- Collaborate with Purchasing Department to establish cross-departmental procedures to ensure parts on time based on supplier production capacity and production demand considering also quality requirements even under changing conditions like model changes or new car launches
- Establish and agree with related Stakeholder the process related to the introduction of Parts Technical modification
- Accompany purchasing sourcing process. Plan and optimize internal and external processes for securing a strong supply chain in all production areas (digitalization and reduction of CO²)
- Support internal and external resources for planning, executing and optimizing of all logistics responsibilities concerning production material flow from suppliers to point of fit
- Support own process control through planning and implementing KPIs with clear responsibility distribution, coordinate problem solving activity in case of deviance from the defined targets
- Analyze and authorize the department budget, assure its fulfillment and develop countermeasures to compensate deviation observed by optimizing or reassigning technical and human resources
Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require daily attendance at in-person meetings and events . The role will be based out of a Scout Motors location in Columbia, South Carolina. Applicants should expect that the role may require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and be able to travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

- 5+ years of professional experience in logistics or production environment in the automotive industry,
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, or related fields
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Detailed Knowledge and extensive Experience in Quality Management Systems (ISO, VDA, etc) and related process requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage complexity
- Collaborative team-player with strong interpersonal skills able to work at each hierarchical level of the company
- Strong understanding of Production environment and affinity to work with complex IT-Systems

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. The salary range listed represents the maximum and minimum starting base pay for this position as of the time of posting. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $90,000 - $100,000
