Position Summary: The Special Loans Analyst is responsible for updating field data in the servicing system for the following managed processes: Loan Modifications, ARM loans, SCRA, Late Charges, Assumptions, and any other updates required for special products serviced by Selene. The Special Loans Analysts process payoff and reinstatement quote requests and perform ACH related items. The Special Loans Analyst also generates monthly billing statements as required and responds to inquiries from internal employees or investors regarding system changes or adjustments.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned.


  • Populates ARM indices into the servicing system.
  • Runs scheduled ARM changes, generates notices, and ensures payment changes are correctly updated.
  • Audits loan information in the system against what is on the loan documents using ARM Riders and Notes.
  • Performs ARM loan audits to ensure timely completion. Resolves exceptions and processes system corrections within the ARM Loan Workstation.
  • Audits monthly DMDC report for loans protected under the SCRA by reviewing the loan history from the active-duty date and processes system changes using the Military Service Relief Workstation within MSP.
  • Processes Assumption system changes as required.
  • Monitors HAMP modifications for PRA, borrower incentives and recast eligibility, and makes system changes as needed.
  • Performs monthly scripting to generate monthly billing statements as needed and works closely with other LOBs to ensure all statement types are sent timely and within regulatory guidelines.
  • Performs daily/monthly Late Charge loan level reconciliation to ensure accounts are updated appropriately.
  • Performs research and makes accurate and timely system changes in response to requests from investors or employees from other departments.
  • Processes requests for ACH, including ACH drafting for trial modifications.
  • Processes requests for payoff statements.
  • Processes requests for reinstatement quotes.
  • Assists with special projects.
  • Update policies and procedures as needed.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associate degree (A. A.) from two-year College preferred.


Computer Skills: Working knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Previous experience with MSP, Black Knight/LPS and Sagent preferred but not required.
