Summary The Software Project Manager position will be responsible for successfully delivering software projects within Technology Development. This position oversees the fulfillment of larger organizational goals by coordinating multiple, concurrent projects through direct project management of these initiatives. The Software Project Manager will contribute to program strategy, in collaboration with the Technology Development PMO and Leadership Team. Job Responsibilities & Requirements Responsibilities: Develop and implement project management plans Maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance Oversee multiple, concurrent & inter-dependent projects and teams, as applicable, ensuring project goals are reached Coordinate with Global Product Portfolio Managers to support delivery of the project's product to customers Work closely with project sponsors, product managers, cross-functional development, QA, CX & support teams to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives and core platforms Manage projects and teams for optimal return-on-investment, and coordinate cross-project initiatives Identify key requirements needed from cross-functional teams and external vendors as required Be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives Work with product and program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the Tech Dev organization Produce project reports for management and stakeholders This position may require travel up to 10-15% Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, preferably in Project Management, Business, IT or a Scientific field; equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement Must have at least 5 years of project management experience, with multiple concurrent teams Must have at least 5 years of experience running software projects Knowledge and experience in project management Knowledge of various project management methodologies, including agile ways of working Experience in planning projects with large data sets and making decisions for data-driven analytics Ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects and priorities Exceptional leadership, team building, mentoring, and facilitation skills Advanced change management and performance evaluation skills Excellent organizational, written and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and simultaneously manage multiple projects and teams Self-motivated, driven individual who is comfortable working in a global functional organization Proficiency with Microsoft Office product such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a PMO and with governance processes such as stage gate is preferred Experience with project management software applications preferred PMI PMP or CAPM highly desired Experience with KeyedIn preferred Experience with Azure DevOps preferred Experience or familiarity with the building, engineering or architectural industry highly preferred, but not required MiTek is an E-Verify and Drug and Tobacco-Free Workplace.
