Purpose of Job We are seeking a talented Software Engineer-Junior Level for our San Antonio Office facility. This person may also work 100% remotely from a remote work location.

Engaged in all phases of the software systems and application development lifecycle which include; gathering and analyzing requirements, designing, testing, documenting and implementing software, responding to outages. Identifies and manages existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role.

Preferred Requirements :
Experience rapidly learning new technologies, languages, and tools
Ability to help extract business value from requirements
Demonstrated ability to independently research technical issues and generate creative/innovative solutions.
Troubleshoot incidents, identify root cause, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures
Knowledge or experience with the following: NodeJS, React, GITLab and continuous integration and continuous delivery infrastructure, Automated Unit testing and unit testing frameworks
2+ years of experience working with Agile methodology
Desire to learn in the Cyber Security space supporting Incident Response business capabilities
Compensation: USAA has an effective method for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position. The salary range for this skill is $72,900- $131,400 * (this does not include geographic differential it may be applied based on your work location)
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
Geographical Differential: Geographic pay differential is additional pay provided to eligible employees working in locations where market pay levels are above the national average.
Shift premium: will be addressed on an individual-basis for applicable roles that are consistently scheduled for non-core hours.
