Job Description

Overview FTI is hiring a full-time Technology Project Lead to support the NAWCAD Atlantic Ranges and Targets Department's Atlantic Targets and Marine Operations (ATMO) organization. A new era in missile defense has emerged due to the proliferation of emerging threats from high velocity weapons fielded by adversaries. The U.S. Navy is investing heavily in this field and contracts with FTI to provide Test and Evaluation, analytics, and logistics support to develop these capabilities. As a Technology Project Lead, you will also support the creation of web-based planning, execution, and analytics tools to develop and improve the customer's decision-making resources. Success will require experience in leading technology development projects and working with stakeholders to ensure projects stay on schedule, within cost, and deliver required capability. Direct experience developing software, working with databases, and be able to create attractive user interfaces for importing and displaying data using charts, graphs, and other visualizations is also crucial. Responsibilities Support technology project lifecycles for web-based software applications and other complex projects Gather requirements, plan resources, formulate project schedule and delivery strategies, establish milestones/schedules, and monitor progress Track and document progress of individual projects in the portfolio to inform leadership and meet objectives for the customer Gather required data from end-users to evaluate requirements, goals, and scope to create technical specifications Serve as liaison between technical and non-technical departments to ensure that all targets and requirements are met Collaborate with FTI's Technology Group and provide assistance in developing web apps including design, development, documenting and testing new and existing software Work directly with the customer to understand specific software capability needs and translate those needs into solutions Analyze customer datasets and leverage them to provide new insight and understanding to support improved decision making Analyze and resolve software development issues and challenges throughout the software's full life cycle Education/Qualifications Ability to obtain an active Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance as needed is required STEM related bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years' of project management experience or a minimum of 15 years' of project management experience in a related technical field is required 5+ years of management experience leading technical/web-based projects is required 5+ years of experience developing software applications is required 5+ years of full cycle project management, including accounting, projections, and management of resources to meet schedule, budget and deliverables expectations is required Knowledge and experience in software development using one or more software language(s) is required Working knowledge of SQL server or equivalent databases and their incorporation into web-based applications is required Extensive experience using collaboration tools such as MS Teams, SharePoint, MS Project, Power BI, or similar tools is required Expertise with MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel is required
