This is a remote position. A member of our recruitment team will discuss location preferences with you in more detail.

In this role you will collaborate with other senior technical team members and other developers to conceptualize, design, and deliver innovative technology solutions. You will focus on designing the standards for systems based on technical industry best practices, including defining parameters that guide engineering teams on determining whether to enhance existing, develop new, or purchase third-party systems; defining frameworks for DevSecOps, APIs, containerization, and technical debt management; and ensuring they are incorporated into application development practices.

Responsibilities:

•Work with development leads to define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards

•Drive development modernization practices (continuous integration, auto deployment & auto test, etc.)

•Drive technology migration in cloud, event-based architecture, and container-based development space

•Define architecture patterns across development teams

Skills & Requirements:

• Experience utilizing a variety of specific tools and toolkits for the development and support of applications

• Experience with major public cloud offerings and how to design solutions that are built around these technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and similar)

•Extensive experience in designing and implementing large-scale data management system using big-data or rational technology

•Excellent communication skills

•Ability to research and learn new methodologies and technologies and bring knowledge to the team

•Ability to present information to wide variety of audiences, including senior management

•Minimum 6-8 years of software design and architecture experience

•Strong knowledge of Agile and DevOps cultures, including tangible experience in CI/CD tool chains

•Experience in transitioning legacy systems to cloud architecture

• Advanced understanding of algorithms, data structures, and ability to understand and effectively debug both new and existing solutions

•Experience using architecture guardrails for development teams

The typical base pay range for this role is between $135k - $160k depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
