In line with our mission, we are looking to recruit an Infrastructure Systems Engineer to support Global Hosted and AWS cloud networks, servers, and hardware. This is a fast paced, exciting role, and well suited for someone looking to get their hands dirty in a lot of different areas.

Scope

The primary goal of the SRE Systems Engineer at RLDatix is to ensure the company's Global Hosting infrastructure and AWS cloud solutions are solid, secure, and cost effective to support the growth and needs of the organization as directed by the Director of IT. This role will wear multiple hats, working closely with Site Reliability Engineers (SRE) across the globe. The incumbent must be willing to work longer hours as needed and participate in an on-call rotation.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design, buildout, and maintenance of a RLDatix Hosted and AWS cloud-based infrastructure which include:
  • Data Center Server & Network Hardware
  • Cisco and Palo Alto
  • VMware & VSAN
  • Windows & Linux OS
  • Microsoft SQL
  • AWS Services more specifically with respect to Networking, Compute, storage, Databases and Security (VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, etc.)
  • Support the Client Success teams in complex implementations of Hosted & Cloud solutions that support multiple RLDatix software product lines.
  • Participate in the planning, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the overall security posture of the Hosting and AWS environments including but not limited to intrusion detection/prevention, malware management, and appropriate vulnerability and penetration testing, risk and vulnerability identification, trends, or improvements in the organization's ability to meet security objectives
  • A willingness to be flexible in responding to customer issues as they occur, and the ability to identify product/deployment improvements to mitigate future occurrences.
  • Experience with cloud hosted apps/service, AWS experience required, and able to translate business requirements into securely implemented capabilities in the Cloud
  • Work directly with Clients to establish and maintain site-to-site VPN tunnels for systems integration as required
  • Maintain network access controls to ensure the security and integrity
  • Ensure that minimum service level standards (SLA) and QOS are adhered to
  • Participate as needed on large/complex customer implementation projects, providing guidance from a technical standpoint
  • Participate in documentation creation and updates related to SSAE16 and/or other equivalent audit standard, including but not limited to: IT Policy; Annual risk assessment; Business continuity and disaster recovery policies and procedures; SLA and KPI metrics; Architecture documentation; and Policy
Essential Skills/ Experience Required
  • Experience as a Infrastructure Systems Engineer (or similar position) in a production capacity support Managed Hosted data centers
  • Experience supporting Hosted Infrastructure networking, firewalls, and servers. Experience with Palo Alto and CISCO ASA preferred
  • Experience supporting AWS cloud infrastructure networking, firewalls, and services
  • Experience supporting VMWare and VMWare VSAN
  • Experience working with large projects: multi-user, multi-month, technical project lead, with some strategic planning experience
  • Strong SQL skills, including operational understanding, relational database knowledge, and SQL scripting
  • Cloud technology experience and knowledge and AWS, Azure and/or Google cloud services
  • Experience in datacenter and collocation management is a plus
  • Experience with the principles of well architected framework and how they specifically apply to the Hosted and AWS environments
  • Experience using AWS CLI for managing AWS services and for automating various tasks
  • Experience implementing and designing High availability and disaster recovery solutions in in data centers as well as AWS
