Job Description

We're looking for developers who like a challenge, who enjoy being part of a small team, who love working on a range of different projects, and are absolutely ready to get stuck in and build really awesome products.

The Role

We might be small, but we move quickly and pack a punch. We're looking for talented developers to join our crack team of specialists. In addition to helping develop and maintain our own products, you'll also be building custom products and solutions for our clients.

As an experienced ServiceNow developer you'll join our team to build world class applications on the Now Platform. This role does not involve generic ITSM builds but encompasses the complete lifecycle of building truly bespoke applications, from requirements gathering, architecting, developing and testing right through to ongoing support and assistance.

ServiceNow development should be enjoyable and make a real difference. We're passionate about what we do and what we deliver, and we expect you to be the same. There are hundreds of generic ITSM, ITOM, blah, blah (yawn) roles out there, this most definitely is not one of them! Why not come and join some of the industries most respected developers and show the world what the Now platform can really do?

We'd expect you to:

  • Design, test and implement features and fixes for bespoke Now applications, both for Whitespace and our clients.
  • Develop and code to company and industry standards.
  • Work closely with clients to understand and capture requirements.
  • Log defects and stories, and manage them if necessary.
  • Consider performance, reliability and future upgrades.
  • Work to plans and deadlines, escalating where appropriate.
  • Continue to learn and expand in knowledge and understanding of new technologies.
  • Provide additional support when required, potentially out of hours.
  • Attend key events throughout the year.
  • Work remotely.

  • 3+ years of ServiceNow developer experience.
  • 5+ software development experience.
  • Application Developer certification as a minimum (preferably implementation specialist too).
  • Good degree (2.1+) in Computer Science, Physics or Maths.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Can work well in a team and independently.
  • Strong problem solving abilities and an eye for detail.
  • Experience using recognised development methodologies and an understanding of SDLC.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and a proactive self-learner.
  • Ability to instruct and help others.
  • Advanced knowledge of browser Developer Tools and how to use them for development and debugging.
  • Knowledge of various types of testing and documentation practices.
  • Demonstrable skills in feature design, development and testing.
  • History in front/back end web technology.
  • Experience with a variety of web technologies including AngularJS and Bootstrap (Agent Workspace & React would be very beneficial).
  • Understanding of integrations and web services (SOAP/REST, Integration Hub/Flow Designer)

  • Bonus Scheme
  • Pension Scheme
  • Training and personal development
  • 25 days annual leave
  • Flexible working
