Are you passionate about integrating advanced sensor technologies to enable intelligent, data-driven systems? Do you excel at fusing data from multiple sensors to create precise, reliable, and real-time insights? If you’re ready to build the sensory “nervous system” of modern machines, our client has the perfect role for you. We’re looking for a Sensor Integration Engineer (aka The Data Fusion Specialist) to lead the design, integration, and calibration of sensors that empower cutting-edge robotics, autonomous systems, and industrial automation.

As a Sensor Integration Engineer at our client, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to select, configure, and integrate sensors into complex systems. Your expertise in sensor technologies, data fusion, and signal processing will be essential in creating responsive, reliable systems that can operate accurately in dynamic environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Select and Integrate Sensor Technologies:
    • Evaluate and choose appropriate sensors, including LIDAR, cameras, IMUs, GPS, and proximity sensors, based on project requirements. You’ll ensure each sensor meets the functional, environmental, and performance needs of the system.
  2. Develop and Implement Sensor Fusion Algorithms:
    • Design algorithms to combine data from multiple sensors, enabling accurate perception and real-time decision-making. You’ll work with sensor fusion techniques such as Kalman filters, Bayesian networks, and machine learning models.
  3. Calibrate and Test Sensors for Optimal Performance:
    • Perform calibration and validation tests on sensors to ensure accuracy, repeatability, and reliability. You’ll fine-tune sensor parameters for optimal performance under varying operational conditions.
  4. Collaborate on System Architecture and Hardware Integration:
    • Work closely with hardware and software teams to integrate sensors into larger systems, ensuring seamless data flow and compatibility. You’ll design interfaces and protocols for efficient sensor communication.
  5. Troubleshoot and Optimize Sensor-Related Issues:
    • Identify and resolve issues related to sensor drift, noise, alignment, and interference. You’ll use diagnostic tools and signal processing techniques to ensure robust data output.
  6. Document Sensor Configurations and Integration Procedures:
    • Maintain detailed documentation for sensor configurations, calibration processes, and integration protocols. You’ll ensure comprehensive records for maintenance, troubleshooting, and future enhancements.
  7. Stay Updated on Emerging Sensor and Data Fusion Technologies:
    • Continuously research advancements in sensor technology, data fusion, and signal processing. You’ll evaluate new tools and techniques that can enhance system capabilities and accuracy.
