Troubleshoot technical issues and guide issue escalations with Red Hat and customer teams. Provide hands-on technical and architectural guidance for the Red Hat infrastructure and OpenShift Container Platform portfolios. *Telecommuting role to be performed anywhere in the U.S. What You Will Do: Cultivate relationships with customers, gain a deep technical understanding of their Red Hat implementation, share technical best practices, and act as point of contact for any major software and operating systems incidents. Manage customers’ expectations and communication efforts through resolution of technical incidents. Help drive strategic technical direction with Red Hat customers and help ensure they are setting up their software and operating systems environments in the most appropriate way to avoid future issues. Work closely with Red Hat’s engineering, research and development, product management, and technical support teams to debug, test, and resolve issues. Conduct technical reviews and share knowledge to proactively identify and prevent issues. Warn customers of technology changes or potential disruptions to their service and advise them on mitigation strategies. Provide advice and guidance to customers about their current and future Red Hat’s software and operating systems offerings. What You Will Bring: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or a related field and five (5) years of experience in job offered or related role OR seven (7) years of experience in job offered or related role. Must have five (5) years of experience with: Linux system administration; and technical troubleshooting. Must have three (3) years of experience with Kubernetes administration. Must have two (2) years of experience with: Openshift administration; and presenting technical training and business updates to small and mid-sized live audiences. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications. Pay Transparency Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
