Job Description

Located in Eden Prairie, we are currently seeking a talented, enthusiastic individual to join our Tax Team. We are currently working remotely due to COVID-19 but seeking someone in the 5-state area of Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, or Iowa.



Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • At least 3 years of progressively challenging public accounting experience
  • CPA licensure or actively working towards CPA licensure
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Solid knowledge of Internal Revenue Code
  • Ability to reason intelligently and use sound judgment
  • Ability to organize work and projects, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to details
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal capacities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team-oriented


Major Responsibilities Include:

  • Preparing and reviewing complex tax returns (individual, partnerships, multistate, and corporate - including consolidated returns) with a concentration in corporate returns
  • Preparing tax computations, work papers and entries
  • Delegate assignments to associate accountants
  • Researching technical issues
  • Train, supervise and develop associate accountants
  • Prepare and review special projects
  • Tax planning for clients
  • Manage IRS examinations and protests
  • Monitor new tax developments and advise other professionals of same
  • Assist in overall tax department planning and scheduling
